MCS returns

Having returned from half-term, we have now made a few key decisions and steps.

First of all, we have made a base design to be laser-cut from 3mm acrylic.


Motors have been ordered, tested etc. We are currently working on modifying the base so that it fits on a4 paper, ie we only need to order an A3 sheet of acrylic to have both layers of the robot cut.


We are also working on getting the Computer Vision sorted for some of the autonomous challenges. This will include using OpenCV, an open source computer vision software. Possibly TensorFlow as well.


Progress is being somewhat hindered by lack of funds, though a bid for more has been sent to our school finance department (fingers crossed). After however, we will be able to order components, materials etc and start assembly.
